WORKSHOPS on how to reduce water and energy usage in the home, minimise waste and create drought-resistant, food-producing gardens are available to Casey residents.
Casey and the Australian Conservation Foundation are hosting the seminars. Casey manager of engineering and environmental services David Richardson said drought and climate change dominated the national agenda. He said it was important that strategies to reduce environmental impacts were implemented.
“Casey is helping residents to reduce their environmental footprint through participation in the GreenHome program,” he said.
“This provides simple, yet effective, advice on how to save energy and water while conducting household tasks such as gardening or clothes washing.”
