Trash talk gets out of hand

By ANEEKA SIMONIS

A VERBAL dispute between neighbours got physical, with one man pushed to the ground in Pakenham over the weekend.
On Saturday 5 December, a dispute about rubbish dumping broke out between neighbours in Avon River Way, Pakenham.
Police said a man took offence to what was said to a woman involved in the dispute and later returned to “throw punches” at the person involved in the initial neighbourhood argument.
The assault is believed to have happened between 10.10pm and 10.30pm.
Police are yet to speak with the man believed to have instigated the physical attack.
It is unclear if the man fell to the ground as a result of a punch, or was pushed.
