By ANEEKA SIMONIS

A PAIR of 17-year-old girls were slapped over the head and told to “shut up” by an enraged commuter on the Pakenham train line.
Police said the girls were sitting in the last carriage of the outbound train talking among themselves when a woman struck them both over the head and hurled abuse at them.
The incident occurred at 12.30pm on Monday 7 December.
Police said the attacker hit the teens before getting off at Pakenham station.
The woman is known to police.
