PAKENHAM’S Big Brother housemate Travis Perkins still has a chance to walk away with more than $400,000 with less than a week remaining in the reality series.
The 32-year-old Safeway truckie survived Sunday night’s eviction to make it to the final four who are vying for the $437,401 prize pool.
Aleisha, Zach, Billy and Travis are all nominated for this Sunday’s double eviction.
The two housemates who survive will discover on Monday night whether they have won this year’s series.
After weeks of favouritism, Travis is equal second favourite to be the last housemate standing.
According to Sportingbet Australia’s website yesterday Cobram Hairdresser Aleisha is outright favourite at $2.25, while fellow Victorians Travis and Zach are a $3.50 chance to win.
Sydney-sider Billy is the least likely to scoop the pool at $7.50.
Surprisingly, the Pakenham housemate told Big Brother he didn’t want to win the reality series, saying the experience in the Gold Coast house was satisfying enough.
“I struggle to realise why I am still here,” he said.
“I’m a happy man Big Brother, I’m a really happy person.”
Travis said he entered the house not for the money or fame but for himself.
“It was something my mates hadn’t done,” he said.
“I just wanted to come in and prove that anybody could come in and do anything if they put their mind to it.”
Although Travis said he didn’t want to win, two remaining housemates said they would love to see him scoop the prize pool.
“I’ve said it since day one,” Billy said. “I’d love to see Travis win.
“He is someone who is endearing to the housemates. He is kind and honest to the bone.”
Aleisha agreed.
“I want him to win because he’s purely been himself the whole way through. He hasn’t had a bad word to say about anyone,” she said.
