CARDINIA council is again encouraging local residents to save water with a free showerhead exchange between Monday, 30 July and Friday, 3 August.
The showerhead exchange is available from at the shire offices in Henty Way, Pakenham.
Residents must take their old showerheads, a recent copy of their water bill., then fill out a form and walk away with up to two new showerheads per household.
It is estimated that by using a water efficient showerhead, residents can reduce household water usage by 10 per cent and energy bills by as much as $60, saving up to 20,000 litres a year.
The new three-star rated showerheads are valued at around $65.
