PAKENHAM teens are leading the fight against graffiti.
Students from Pakenham Secondary College, Victoria Police and Cardinia Shire have joined forces to produce a new educational video.
Reckless is an 11-minute piece that will be used as part of an educational workshop to teach young people about the risks and consequences of committing graffiti and criminal damage offences.
The film portrays the impact graffiti has on offenders, their families and relationships, and the cost and impact it has on the community.
Pakenham youth resource officer Senior Constable Helen Marsham and Cardinia Shire youth development officer Tracy Montgomery coordinated the project.
Reckless was premiered to an enthusiastic audience at the Cardinia Cultural Centre last week.
Police Assistant Commissioner Paul Evans was guest speaker and said Reckless was a fantastic example of how the community could work together to address important issues.
