It’s a hot spot

By ANEEKA SIMONIS

CENTRAL Pakenham was a hot spot for motor vehicle thefts in the past week.
From Monday 27 April to Sunday 3 May, four cars were targeted by thieves who successfully made their way into two cars.
The figure is down on last week where 13 cars were targeted.
Fuel cards and prescription glasses were taken from an unlocked car parked in Eden Brook Circuit in Pakenham overnight on Sunday 26 April.
The car was located in the owner’s driveway.
Cardinia Crime Investigation Unit’s Detective Senior Sergeant Trevor Smith urged drivers to lock their cars at all times and remove any valuables from view.
Three number plates were also stolen from cars parked in the area during the week.
