Playing with fire

A WHEELIE bin was set alight in a popular Pakenham park earlier this week.
At 3.45am on Monday 30 March, CFA extinguished a fire set to a wheelie bin at Bourke Park in Pakenham.
Senior Sergeant Nathan Prowd said there was no-one spotted at the scene, but anyone who may have information about the fire is asked to come forward.
Almost a week earlier, a phone box on McBride Street in Cockatoo was damaged by a fire believed to be lit by up to five youths.
At 2.50am on Tuesday 24 March, police believe a gang of young people set fire to material in the phone booth.
The youths then put out the fire and fled, leaving damage to a shelf inside the booth.
Anyone with information about the incidents are asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
