IT was like the mad rush of a Myer stocktake sale – only it was the opening of a supermarket.
The Aldi supermarket in Endeavour Hills opened its doors to the public for the first time last Thursday and shoppers were keen to get a bargain within the first few hours of the opening.
The new supermarket coincides with the major refurbishment of the Endeavour Hills Shopping Centre.
And visitors to the centre this weekend will be treated to a range of fun activities including cooking demonstrations and giveaways.
Aldi shoppers were impressed with the array of products on offer at the new supermarket and were attracted to the many discounted items.
Several other new shops at the centre will join the supermarket when the multimillion-dollar revamp is complete next year.
