Cute Aria stands out

By ANEEKA SIMONIS

It’s official!
Aria, the nine-week-old Australian shepherd, is the Cutest Dog in Pakenham.
Among dozens of other dogs vying for the title, the proud pooch took out the first local heat of Australia’s Cutest Dog Search held at PETstock in Pakenham earlier this month.
Aria and her award-winning puppy dog eyes progressed to the state round of judging and while she didn’t make the final cut, her owner Matthew Woodward believes she’s still the cutest pup in his eyes.
PETstock CEO Shane Young said the dogs showcased made for a tough decision by the judges, but it was a great day out for everyone.
“It was great to see local residents proudly show off their buddies and we were blown away by their efforts to stand out from the crowd. Congratulations Aria!” Mr Young said.
Marley, a miniature dachshund from Ormond in the city’s south east took out the state title on Thursday 16 October and will be up against a range of quirky breeds for the final prize.
“Local store winners received a $250 PETstock gift card, the state winners will receive a $1000 PETstock gift card and the national winner will take home a luxury-spec Renault Koleos 4×2 Petrol CTV Bose Edition valued at $34,990. Not to mention the bragging rights that come with having Australia’s Cutest Dog!” Mr Young said.
