ABOUT 400 mums, bubs and families were out in force for Casey’s Greatest Pram Stroll, held last Saturday at Wilson Botanic Park in Berwick.
Mayor Kevin Bradford was delighted by the number of mums and families taking part in Casey’s version of the World’s Greatest Pram stroll.
“This event is a fantastic day out, and more importantly it celebrates the importance of mothers feeling connected and supported in the community,” he said.
Cr Bradford acknowledged the event organisers, the Mothers of Casey Alliance (MOCA), in particular Sue Oates who spoke at the event, and event partners the City of Casey, Wilson Botanic Park, YMCA and Playgroup Victoria.
Also involved in the event was local socialite Lady Uppity Crust and Volunteer of the Year for Arts and Culture Susan Bergman, and speakers Anne Marie Dempster of Cardinia- Casey Community Health Service and Shirley Floyd of St John of God Hospital, both discussing the issue of post-natal depression.
It was a warm and sunny day at Wilson Botanic Park for Casey’s Greatest Pram Stroll, and walkers enjoyed the colourful family entertainment and the walk around the stunning Wilson Botanic Park, with many staying on for a BBQ or picnic lunch afterwards.
