SPRING has certainly sprung in Endeavour Hills with one local resident amazed by her beautiful orchids.
Fatima Carvalho has been counting ever since the flowers started springing buds in all directions. The keen gardener counted a total of 462 flowers, with her husband and a neighbour also called in for the stocktake.
Ms Carvalho said she fell in love with orchids some 20 years ago when her mother gave her two plants.
She said her orchids had never grown like this and she was amazed by how wonderful they looked. “It must be my lucky year,” she said.
Neighbours and friends have come to admire Ms Carvalho’s orchids and she said she hoped they grew as well next spring.
Blooming beautiful!
