Wide open road for Mitch

THE best of Pakenham Auto Club (PAC) had their tyres pumped up with a dinner and mid-year trophy presentation at the Pine Grove Hotel Upper Beaconsfield.
Trophies were presented for five events run at the McGregor Road Complex. Junior member Mitch Garrad scooped the pool, taking out an award in every event. Ian Williams is leading Class D, Shannon Fitcher and Brett Isbel are equal in Class B, while in Khanacross, Alan Burns is leading Class A, Angela Bloomfield Class D, and Bruce Rawlings Class C. In Motorkhanas Ray Garrad picked up a first outright, Rob Sanderson is just ahead of Leon Prosser in Class A and Lachlan Sinclair got the junior award.
The next club night is scheduled for Monday 4 August in the new meeting room at Services Central Henry St Pakenham. The guest speaker will be a member of the Pakenham Police Road Traffic Branch. New members are welcome.
The next events at the McGregor Road Complex are the Group 5 Motorkhana scheduled for Saturday 14 September – everyone welcome – and the next Come and Try Day for 12-18-year-olds, is scheduled for Saturday 11 October.
