No loss leader looks to future

REPRESENTATIVE duty is calling for Pakenham soccer rising star Michael Faamausili.
Faamausili, 24, from Pakenham, took to Lakeside Reserve on Saturday as part of the Special Olympics Victoria five-on-five soccer tournament, which is affiliated with the State Winter Games that were held in Pakenham last weekend.
An instructor at Cardinia Life who helps people with intellectual disabilities train at the gym, Faaumausili, who has cerebral palsy, has been an inspiration at the venue to anyone seeking to improve their fitness or, equally as important, their attitude as he works tirelessly in the facility.
Michael’s hard work paid off on Saturday as his team mates blitzed the competition to take the title without a loss to their name.
Michael hopes to participate in the upcoming Special Olympics Australia national games, with an eye towards international representation in the future.
