PAKENHAM’S Country Fire Authority (CFA) brigade was among those called to a shed fire in Nar Nar Goon North on Monday afternoon.
A shed on a property in Mount Ararat Road North was razed.
The shed was about 150 metres from the road and surrounded by old farming equipment.
Pakenham, Tynong and Nar Nar Goon CFA crews and Pakenham Police attended the blaze.
Nar Nar Goon CFA Captain Phil Craig said officers could not tell what was on fire for some minutes because of the black smoke produced by the fire.
Mr Craig said gates on the property were locked, which hampered initial efforts to reach the fire.
The blaze was declared safe by 2.22pm.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
