CASEY police got themselves into an itchy situation when they visited a Hampton Park house last week.
Police went to a house in Templer Avenue on Friday over theft and burglary offences when they got covered in thousands of fleas before they even made it to the front door.
The officers returned to the station with a seized car, which was suspected of being stolen, but also plenty of fleas which came along for the ride.
Police had to shower, change clothes and flea bomb the cars overnight.
Police expect to interview the home’s occupant this week in relation to handling stolen goods and possessing proceeds of crime.
No charges were laid against the fleas.
