TO MR GLAZEBROOK (Dustbins Of History, News, 3 April).
I wonder if professors Lake and Reynolds support Mr Glazebrook’s initial views regarding the causes of WWI, the Dardanelles campaign and the best sacrifices made?
Whoever lost the Great War would pay dearly. A fact proven four years later. Hardly a “domino theory”.
That other contributors to opinion have found Mr Glazebrook’s views range from unfounded to disgraceful and even laughable speaks volumes.
From unemployed young being bribed to serve British imperial greed to others being dragged into service, such views belong in any bin labelled ’counter factual rubbish only’.
John Howard,
Cranbourne.
