STUDENTS were treated to a touch of Africa last week when a colourful dance performance was held in Narre Warren.
More than 100 students from Maramba Primary School, Dandenong Valley School and Fountain Gate Primary School flocked to Eumemmerring College’s Fountain Gate campus for the African performance and also took part in a series of dance workshops.
Student teacher Clare Harvie taught the students the African dance styles and two Eumemmerring students also taught their fellow peers a Samoan dance.
Traditional African and Samoan costumes were borrowed for the performance and teacher Rebecca Payne said she hoped the afternoon was enjoyed by all.
