Skates on show

THE annual Cardinia Shire Council skate, BMX and scooter competition is coming up this Friday.
The competition is being held at Pakenham Skate Park in PB Ronald Reserve in John Street on Friday 17 January from 3pm to 7pm.
There are two entry categories for those aged 15 and under, and for those 16 and over.
Entry costs $5.
Participants register on the day, with parent permission required for those aged 17 and under.
All participants must wear helmets and bring their own safety equipment.
A free sausage sizzle will be provided, with cans of drinks available for purchase for $1.
The council’s MYBus mobile youth facility will also be at the event.
