Great sight for the night

IT WAS the start of a new beginning on Sunday with the first ever Carols by Candlelight event at the Toomuc Reserve in Pakenham.
Almost 4000 people, who were not too turned off by the the rain, drizzle and cooler weather, turned out for the annual event.
Cardinia Shire mayor Graeme Moore said the fireworks were the “best he’d ever seen” in what was a fun community event for everyone involved.
He said the organisers, including council staff, should be commended for a great event.
Venue manager Steve Maloney said the event went smoothly and the user groups were really happy.
Mr Maloney said overlooking the balcony onto the reserve was a “pretty sight” with hundreds of families enjoying the night out.
