POLICE are on the hunt for a man who attempted to ram an ambulance and police car in two separate incidents last week.
On Sunday 23 November about 3.50am, police were called to Millswyn Avenue in Hampton Park in relation to a drug overdose incident, where the affected man was trying to steal a car.
Police demanded the man get out of the car, but he did not comply and drove off through metal gates, narrowly avoiding two police members.
Police said the man drove at speed and narrowly avoided a head-on collision with an ambulance unit, forcing the paramedic to take evasive action.
On Thursday night last week, about 11.45pm, police attempted to intercept a dark green Ford AU Falcon, driven by the same man along Fleet Street, Narre Warren.
Police said the man drove onto the nature strip, then into the centre of the road and was believed to have made an attempt to ram the police car.
The police the officer driving was forced to take evasive action.
