THE last round of frenetic pedalling in the National Women’s Road Series took cycling dynamo Sam de Riter on a Tour of the Goldfields.
The Holden Women’s Cycling team rider was well placed heading into the last day of racing – sitting third overall behind Chloe McConville and Jessica Mundy with a 57 second gap after a hard earned fifth place finish in the day three race around Burrumbeet.
The Dunnstown Road Race on Sunday didn’t pan out as well – with de Riter down 1.12 in 23rd place to earn her a general classification finish of seventh.
The Tour of the Goldfields was the last race in the 2013 Subaru National Road Series, with de Riter finishing 12th in the country with 17 points.
