Great Lake’s race raises hope

GNOMES and Oompa Loompas ran rampant around Lakeside Pakenham last week when students of Lakeside Lutheran College organised ‘The Great Lake’s Race – Where’s Wally?’ event.
On Wednesday 6 November, year-11 Business Management students of the school organised the race to raise food, money and toys for the Cardinia Churches Combined Caring (4Cs) Christmas Hamper Appeal.
The race had teams of students and teachers dress up in diverse-themed costumes, racing around the Lakeside area.
The teams had to solve clues and complete challenges to find the hidden location of Wally.
Lakeside Lutheran College Business Management teacher Greg Ashcroft said the race was a great success with a large quantity of food, money and toys being raised for the 4Cs charity.
