Trio cap off program

A NEW and exciting arts program is kicking off in Pakenham.
Community Arts Pakenham (CAP), supported by the Shire of Cardinia, is launching its new season with a line-up featuring dynamic trio Bossanation.
CAP spokeswoman Joan Upton said during 2006, the committee tried a number of artistic formats and venues in a bid to provide ongoing enjoyment and participation for performers and patrons.
“This is still a work in progress,” she said.
The new Cafe Arts season will begin on Saturday evening with an exciting line-up.
The chapel on the corner of Main Street and McGregor Road will provide the venue.
Patrons are encouraged to bring along their own supper and soft drinks.
Wine and beer and tea and coffee can be purchased on the evening.
Bossanation’s music is a unique blend of jazz, Latin and contemporary rock beats.
Poet extraordinaire Yvette Stubbs, who has had a long association with Community Arts Pakenham, will also perform.
Entry costs $12. For more details contact Julie on 5940 1254.
