BECOMING informed helping change the conversation – that’s the message from the World Refugee Week events at Living Learning in Pakenham.
Attendees heard from presenters who spoke about informing the community about the reality of refugees in Australia.
Neighbourhood House Manager Amy McIntyre Rogers said refugee week provided an annual opportunity for raising awareness throughout Australia about the issues affecting refugees.
She said it was also a great time to reflect and celebrate the positive contributions being made by refugees to society.
