Gearing up for big rev

THE City of Casey is offering a great business opportunity to become a stallholder at the city’s biggest annual event of the year – The MRA Cranbourne GP Run.
The council is now taking expressions of interests to be involved in the event on Saturday 19 October that attracts thousands of people to the area each year.
City of Casey Mayor Amanda Stapledon said stallholders of all kinds were encouraged to get involved.
“The streets of Cranbourne will come alive with entertainment and activities as crowds gather to join in the excitement of the celebrity wave-off as thousands of motorcyclists make their way to Phillip Island for the MotoGP,” she said.
“This is a fantastic business opportunity for those who would like to set up a stall selling novelty items, motorbike and car accessories, general market items and food and beverages, or displaying motoring collectables.
“‘I encourage businesses, including community organisations that may be interested in managing a stall at this event to submit an expression of interest.
“Once the domain of just motor enthusiasts, the GP Run has become a great family day out, enabling a wider variety of business and organisations to be involved.”
Expression of interest applications will close at 5pm on Friday 2 August and no late applications will be accepted.
Stallholder applicants will be notified 21 days after the closing date as to the success of their expression of interest.
Those interested in being a stallholder are urged to visit www.casey.vic.gov.au/gprun, complete the application form and return it to events@casey.vic.gov.au or mail to the City of Casey Events Unit, PO Box 1000, Narre Warren, Victoria 3805.
