POLICE HAVE finished interviewing a Narre Warren man in relation to the death of a two-year-old boy in Noble Park last week.
The Major Collision Investigation Unit is investigating the death, which occurred on Wednesday 2 August along Chandler Road.
Police said the boy was having lunch with his parents in their front yard when he ran out into the edge of the road and was hit by a truck.
His parents rushed him to a nearby medical centre but staff were unable to save him.
Acting Senior Sergeant Paul Cripps said at the time the driver of the truck was unlikely to have had time to avoid the boy.
But the driver fled and police launched a media campaign to find him.
On 4 August a police held a 36-year-old Narre Warren man in custody and interviewed him in relation to the incident.
