Rotary’s around for repairs

PAKENHAM Rotarians have been getting busy around town.
The Rotary Club of Pakenham pitched in to make some urgent repairs to the rotunda at the Pakenham Cemetery.
Although there was laughter and jokes aplenty, it came second to making the cemetery safe and pleasant for visitors.
“Bunnings supplied the paint, rotarians supplied the effort,” said Rotarian Ian Wake, who was assisted by John Henzen, Bill Van Diemen, Peter Rowlands and Jim Armstrong.
Six members of the Rotary Club of Pakenham also got their knees dirty, placing mulch around the garden beds at the EW Tipping Centre in Holt Place, Pakenham.
The club has been maintaining the garden since its opening in 2005 and eight metres of mulch was spread on this occasion.
Tipping House staff put on morning tea on for the volunteers.
