AUSTRALIAN Open Day fever will hit Pakenham on Sunday for the tennis centre’s free open day event.
It is a free community event for everyone to come down and enjoy the chance to sample the programs and experience some tennis with their families.
Pakenham Regional Tennis Centre (PRTC) programs co-ordinator Danielle Kruger said the Australian Open always creates a new and exciting buzz around the game of tennis.
“We are really looking forward to opening our doors to the community for this free event and showcasing what great programs and services are at the centre,” Ms Kruger said.
“Tennis is not just a game for adults, we have many young children and teens really enjoy the game and the benefits of health and fitness that come along with it.”
Activities on the day include free court hire and use of the equipment, hot shot sessions for kids, cardio tennis sessions, free coaching lessons, a jumping castle and competitions.
The open day will be held from noon to 4pm at the centre on Webster Way in Pakenham.
For additional information about the day call the tennis centre on 5940 8510.
