Mobile Kitchen converges on Cardinia

BRITAIN’S favourite chef Jamie Oliver’s Ministry of Food Mobile Kitchen will come to Cardinia next June to deliver nutritional cooking classes.
The Good Foundation and Victorian Minister for Health David Davis welcomed the Mobile Kitchen to Victoria ahead of its first stop in Bendigo on 11 January.
The mobile kitchen will deliver cooking classes to residents of Healthy Together Victoria communities including Ararat, Cardinia, Central Goldfields, Bendigo, Dandenong, Hume, Knox, Latrobe, Mildura, Pyrenees, Whittlesea, Wodonga and Wyndham municipalities.
The Good Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that has partnered with Jamie Oliver and The Good Guys to roll-out Jamie’s Ministry of Food throughout Australia.
“Healthy Together Victoria is an exciting initiative that aims to improve people’s health and wellbeing where they live, learn, work and play,” Mr Davis said.
“Under this initiative, 14 local government areas across Victoria are working with their communities to create healthier environments.
“Tailored healthy living strategies are being rolled out to target the underlying causes of chronic diseases, addressing issues such as smoking, poor nutrition, alcohol misuse and physical inactivity.”
