MORE than 200 students swapped their school shoes for sneakers in Endeavour Hills last week when they took part in an annual fun run.
Students from Eumemmerring Secondary College Endeavour Hills campus braved the cold to take part in the event at Sydney Pargeter Reserve with students running between three and five kilometres.
Sports coordinator Philip Wass said all students had a great time and the top five runners from each category would now go on to compete at the district’s cross-country carnival.
The event formed part of the Golden Circle School Fun Run Program with students seeking sponsorship from family and friends.
Mr Wass said student enjoyment was more important than raising funds, but any money raised from the event would be a bonus and help purchase new equipment for the school.
