YOUNG readers learned about secrets, spies and codebreaking at a children’s story time and activity at Pakenham Library on Monday 15 January.
Pakenham Library youth services officer Julie Adam said the children were very interested in Rod Clement’s story, Grandad’s Teeth, which was read to them.
“The story was about Grandad losing his false teeth and then going on a hunt to find them,” she said.
Children aged over seven who attended the reading then join in for a “code breaker’s treasure hunt”, using clues to move around the library.
“They were very enthusiastic and seemed to really have fun,” she said.
