Twilight racing in harness

CRANBOURNE Harness Racing Club will host a rare twilight meeting on Sunday, 11 June.
The meeting coincides with the Queen’s Birthday long weekend and will comprise eight races.
The action will be fast and furious, with the program following a traditional Sunday evening twilight format of one race every 25 minutes.
Cranbourne Harness Racing Club chief executive Jacquie Richardson said twilight meetings generally ran for about three hours between 5pm and 8pm.
“They have proven very popular at other clubs throughout Victoria and being a long weekend, we’re optimistic the concept will be well received at Cranbourne,” she said.
To complement the activity on the track, the club will offer free face painting for children for two hours from 5.30pm.
Dinner packages will also be available together with full on-course catering including meals.
Admission to the 11 June twilight meeting is $5.50 for adults and $2 for concession card holders. Children under18 free.
For further information, contact Cranbourne Harness Racing Club during business hours on 59 96 8677.
