Junior Gators snap records

UNDER 16
FOUNTAIN Gate Junior Football Club celebrated several game milestones this week.
Mark Johnson, Jake Moss and Corey Baker-Smith all played 50 games for the under-11 White side, Nathan Reid played 50 games for the under 13s and Josh Wilson 50 games for the under 14s.
The big one was Callan Hannagan’s 100 games for the under 14s.

In reasonable conditions the Gators started off well, but failed to maintain the pressure. The third quarter proved to be the turning point of the game with the Gators discipline coming to the fore.

In good conditions accuracy let the Gators down with more scoring shots than Noble Park.

The Gators came from behind to win against very spirited opposition.

After a slow start in the first half, the Gators regrouped and played a solid second half, going down by six points.

Against a tough opposition the Gators lifted in the last quarter to win the game by one point, thanks to a magnificent 40-metre kick by Jack Murley 20 seconds before the siren.

The Gators played Berwick at home in good conditions for a comfortable win.

A good game by all players.

Fountain Gate White played Endeavour Hills. As the season progresses the Gators keep improving.

Fountain Gate White played Beaconsfield and it was a great effort by the Gators.
