Thieves torch car

THIEVES stole a broken down car last week before driving it to a Narre Warren school and setting it alight.
The 1990 Nissan coupe had broken down and was parked on the side of Tinks Road when it was stolen between 1am and 11.40pm on Sunday, 7 May.
Police said the people involved must have been able to start the car before they drove it a short distance to the Dandenong Valley Special School on Victoria Road and set it on fire, causing $5000 damage. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Senior Constable Tony Meyers on 9705 3111 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
