RELAY for Life will be held at Akoonah Park, Berwick, this weekend.
The Casey Cardinia Relay for Life (CCRFL) group has registered more than 200 people and 14 teams for the event.
Relay for Life is hoping to raise $3 million this year for cancer research.
CCRFL chair manager Deborah Ditchburn said a range of activities would be on at the two-day relay event, including food and bands.
“We will have belly dancers who will also give lessons, karaoke, and a limbo during the relay,” she said.
One of the most moving things at the relay will be the candlelight display, when candles will be placed just inside the running track.
A short candlelight service will be held to reflect on why everyone is involved in the relay.
More information about entering teams or individual entries in the relay is available from Deborah on 0412 850 257 or the Relay for Life hotline on 1300 656 585.
