All quiet on the roads say police

THE official Easter period for Pakenham police has concluded with no major traffic incidents throughout the district in what is traditionally one of the busiest times of year.
Police have praised the efforts of all motorists who used the roads over the Easter break with only one minor accident recorded on the congested roads.
“Traffic passing through our town have conducted themselves in a safe and orderly manner which we are very pleased with,” said Sgt Stuart Halligan.
An increased police presence throughout the area has been credited with helping keep the amount of accidents down and ensure roads are safe to use for everyone.
VicRoads also ensured the traffic ran as smooth as possible by coordinating traffic lights to allow for a higher traffic flow than normal.
