A THIEF posing as a tradesman burgled a house in Pakenham last week.
The theft, in Drysdale Street, has prompted police to warn residents to be wary of doorknockers. Police said the man, wearing a fleece-style jumper, claimed to be from a building company and asked to be allowed inside the houses to check insulation. The man stole a purse from the kitchen bench.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Pakenham police on 5941 1033.
