NARRE North’s senior sides were in good form with four wins from five matches at the weekend.
B GRADE
Narre North’s streak continued with an outright win against a determined Coomoora by seven wickets. Scores for the match were Narre North 117 & 3/125 defeating Coomoora 92 & 142 with the best players for Narre North in the second innings being Brian Edwards (50 no) and Tafin Akin (4/30).
C GRADE
Narre North easily dismissed Sandown Park for 19, defending 157. The destroyer for Narre North was David Nicholson, who took 5/9 from his seven overs.
D GRADE
Narre North continued its good form with a win over Lynbrook in a close game. Nearing the end, Lynbrook was 7/165 chasing Narre North’s 192 when Brian Hallet took a hat-trick to finish the match. Andrew Hill also put in a solid effort, taking 3/44.
E GRADE
Narre North put up a great fight before going down to Dandenong West. Defending 73, Narre North battled hard to finally dismiss Dandenong West for 150, best of the bowlers being Nick Long with 4/18.
ONE-DAY GRADE
Narre North defeated Keysborough thanks to the cool-headed Noel Delves, who arrived at the crease with scores tied at 186 and nine wickets down and calmly dispatched a fearsome rearing delivery for four. Narre North finished 9/190, best of the batsmen being Mark Edmonds (48) and Scott Miller (43).
UNDER 15 (1)
Defending 152, Narre North dismissed Hallam-Kalora Park for 112 in difficult conditions. Best of the bowlers were Rakmul Widyananda (4/17) and Jacob Matwijkij (3/11).
UNDER 15 (2)
Resuming 2/29, Narre North lost early wickets to be 6/57 before a 70-run partnership between Nathan Scouler (37) and Brent Nicholson (28 not out) saw them home.
UNDER 15 (3)
Narre North batted well to score 7/223 to beat Hampton Park thanks to fine batting by Isaac Raymont (54 not out), Billy Bianco (52 not out) and Sahil Sahib (40).
UNDER 13 (1)
Narre North performed superbly under cloudy skies and drizzle to bowl out St Mary’s for 124. In a super display Ryan Grafton finished with 4/5. Good all-round efforts contributed to a win by 83 runs.
UNDER 13 (2)
Chasing 125 to win, Narre North batted honestly to fall short by only six. The batsmen tried hard to keep the run rate high and with only eight runs required a run out while attempting a second run ended the game. Best of the batsmen was Jayke Calvert with a fine 28 not out.
UNDER 13 (3)
Narre North batted well, but a little slowly to record 6/102 in 40 overs chasing Cranbourne’s 151. Best of the batsmen was Jarrad Cook with 25 not out.
UNDER 11
After making 214 the Saturday before, Narre North played great cricket to dismiss Buckley Ridges for 127, best of the bowlers being Josh Dowling with 3/3.
