English an early test

By Alison Noonan
EMOTIONS ran high in secondary schools across Casey on Friday following the first round of Year 12 exams.
Faces of relief, disappointment, joy and uncertainty flooded out of exam rooms as students completed the threehour English exam.
Hampton Park Secondary College principal John Peck said the lead up to the exam period had been positive and he was confident students would enjoy a successful few weeks.
“The students have worked hard and had good preparation in the lead up to exams.
“We are confident that the students will apply what they have learnt during the year in their exams, although applying that knowledge in pressure situations is the challenge.
“We trust that their hard work will be reflected honestly in their exam results,” he said.
The News visited Lyndurst Secondary College, Hampton Park Secondary College and Eumemmerring Secondary College Hallam campus to capture the feelings of students after overcoming their first major exam hurdle.
