Take care on wet roads

PAKENHAM Police have urged motorists to take care on wet roads, particularly after long periods of dry weather.
Sergeant Peter Garton said drivers had to be careful in wet weather after conditions had been dry, as roads became very slippery and greasy. The call comes after three separate crashes occurred on wet roads on Cardinia roads last Monday morning.
At 7.50am on Monday 11 January, a Rowville woman, 54, lost control of her car on a bend in Woori Yallock Road, Cockatoo.
The woman received minor injuries after her car rolled over.
At 10.45am on the same day, an Upper Beaconsfield woman, 23, walked away unscathed after her car rolled on a bend on Leppitt Road, Pakenham. And at 11.30am, a Cockatoo woman, 38, lost control of her car on a bend on Emerald Monbulk Road, Emerald.
She received no injuries after the car veered down an embankment and struck a tree.
