Shopping with focus on fashion

By Melissa Meehan
PAKENHAM’S newest shopping precinct will have a fashion focus, with stores including Cotton On, Jeanswest, Bras N Things keen to tap into the growth area of the Cardinia Shire.
Stores including Cotton On, Jeanswest, Prouds Jewellery, Donut King, Terry White Chemist, Bakers Delight, Muffin Break as well as a number of cafes and clothing stores are expected to be up and running ready for the opening on 1 December and the News, along with Cardinia Shire councillors, were invited along for a sneak peak.
With so much work being done to get shops ready for the opening, its hard to believe that everything will be finished on time – but Woolworths regional development Manager Don Foulds assured those on the tour everything would be ready.
“Nearly every shop will be open on opening day, we’ve already seen both Woolworths and Big W stock their shelves,” he said.
“It’s very exciting.”
He said that Woolworths was excited by the interest from retailers for the area.
“They have been very keen to come on board,” he said.
“The location and number of new estates going up around here is something they really want to tap into.”
