NOMINATIONS are open for the 2011 Baillieu Government’s Community Sport and Recreation Awards.
The 2011 Victorian Government’s Community Sport and Recreation Awards will be held at the MCG on Wednesday 30 November, and will honour individuals, teams or clubs with cash prizes across nine categories.
South Eastern Metropolitan Region MP Inga Peulich encouraged Casey residents to nominate individuals in their sporting community who deserve recognition for performing well and making a difference.
“We all know that local sport would simply not happen without passionate community members who volunteer and contribute so much to their club,” Ms Peulich said.
“Across all codes, it’s the spirit, the generosity of time and the commitment of both individuals and teams that inspires many of us to get out there and participate in sport.
