POLICE have charged two teenagers following an attempted armed robbery in Narre Warren on the weekend.
Police said that at 2.10am on 12 October, two teenagers approached a 41-year-old Endeavour Hills man who was cleaning the car park at Fountain Gate Shopping Centre.
One of the teenagers produced a knife and demanded money.
The man raised the tool he was using to pick up rubbish and chased the two teenagers, who fled the scene.
Police arrested a 17-year-old from Dandenong and a 13-year-old from Blackburn and charged them with attempted armed robbery. They will appear at Melbourne’s Children Court at a later date.
