White utility in hit and run

By Lia Bichel
POLICE are looking for the driver of a vehicle which was involved in a hit and run on the Monash Freeway last week.
About 7pm on Thursday 29 September, a vehicle travelling in the right lane of the freeway near the South Gippsland Highway side swiped a green Mazda sedan, Casey Highway Patrol Acting Sergeant Chris Tetof said.
“It was a fair hit and the Mazda spun out of control,” Acting Sgt Tetof said.
“The driver would have known he had hit the car.”
Acting Sgt Tetog said the driver of the Mazda, a 31-year-old from Pakenham, his wife and one-year-old child were lucky to escape injury, but were “shaken up” over the incident.
Police are looking for a white utility vehicle which may have damage to the front left side.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Acting Sergeant Chris Tetof on 5991 0600.
