About 6.45pm, two motorcycles were travelling near Tyabb-Tooradin Road and intersection near South Boundary Road East.
Senior Constable Luke Anderton from Casey Highway Patrol said the driver of a car towing a trailer was making a right turn into South Boundary Road east, but changed his mind and drove back into the left lane, cutting off one motorcyclist.
Sen Const Anderton said the second motorcyclist, a 36-year-old woman, had to take action to avoid a collision and flipped the motorbike.
She was taken to the Frankston Hospital with multiple fractures and a dislocated shoulder.
Sen Const Anderton said they were looking for the driver of the car which was believed to be a dark coloured 2001 Statesman which was towing a yellow trailer.
The driver is described as being an elderly man who was possibly travelling with his wife in the passenger seat.
