POLICE believe they have solved more than 30 thefts following the arrests of two people in Dandenong.
Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit conducted Operation Townhouse and searched a house on Benga Avenue on 25 July, arresting a Dandenong man and Narre Warren woman.
A significant amount of allegedly stolen property was also seized during the search.
Detective Sergeant Dean Hayes said the two were believed responsible for a string of home burglaries in and around the Dandenong CBD between mid-June and 25 July.
The 34-year-old Narre Warren woman was charged with 19 burglaries, 19 thefts and other deception matters.
The Dandenong man, also 34, was charged with 35 burglaries and a number of other dishonesty offences. Both were bailed to appear in the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 3 October.
