NO matter how fast the National Basketball League’s Melbourne Tigers get, they’ll never be faster than Endeavour Hills man Darius Mikolajewski.
That suits the basketball club just fine, as Mr Mikolajewski, who has won the job of building a website for the NBL club, takes the Tigers to the world.
The contract is a major boon for Mr Mikolajewski’s homebased business Allwelt International.
“I still can’t believe it myself,” he said.
“We were up against bigname firms from Sydney, including one company with their headquarters in New York, and we beat them!”
According to director of the Melbourne Tigers Seamus McPeake, the deciding factor was the speed of response to their needs.
“The website must be updated weekly in the offseason and, during the playing season, daily,” he said.
“Darius is giving us unbelievable speed of response. I am absolutely rapt with what he has done.”
Mr Mikolajewski said that a professional sporting organisation such as the Melbourne Tigers needed their suppliers to be able to respond professionally and quickly.
“We guarantee changes on our web sites within 24 hours, but in practice it is usually much faster,” he said.
