Driveby theft in carpark

A 54YEAROLD visionimpaired woman had her handbag stolen from her in a driveby theft at the Fountain Gate Shopping Centre carpark.
The attack happened at 1.10pm on Friday 12 August as the woman was returning from the shops to her car, near the post office entrance.
She was returning from the bank when a car drove past and a man leaned out the window of the car and ripped her handbag containing cash and private papers from her.

A SMART shopper may have saved a pharmacy at the Fountain Gate Shopping Centre from losing more than just perfume last Thursday, 11 August.
The downstairs pharmacy had $1000 worth of fragrances stolen during the quick attack, where a man entered the store and emptied the contents of a perfume cabinet into the plastic bag he was carrying.
The attack occurred between 12.40 and 12.50pm. An observant shopper saw the crime take place and alerted staff. The man quickly left the shop along with a woman.
The man is described as 183cm tall with short, dark hair and a dark skin complex. He was wearing a black leather jacket and jeans.
The woman was tall at 178cm and also had a dark skin complexion. She was wearing dark clothes.

A CHARLES Avenue home in Hallam was totally ransacked and left in disrepair after a robbery on Thursday 11 August.
A rear sliding door to the property was forced open sometime between 11.45am and 4.45pm, allowing thieves access to the house.
After making a mess of the house’s interior, the burglars made off with a mountain bike, a video camera, a digital camera, a CD player, a stereo, jewellery and cash with a total value of $4000.
