THE flood waters have subsided but the local recovery effort is far from over, a special reception at the City of Casey council chambers heard last week.
The City of Casey Thankyou Reception on 4 April formally acknowledged those who responded to the devastating floods of February 4 and 5.
City of Casey Mayor Shar Balmes commended the “phenomenal” work of Victoria Police, Department of Human Services, SES, Red Cross, CFA, Salvation Army, Ambulance Victoria and the Casey Indoor Sports Complex in the relief effort.
“Tonight we thank you for your outstanding work,” Cr Balmes said.
